I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
